A Phase 1 clinical trial for children and adults (ages 12-64 years; 10- and
11-year-old girls may qualify if they are Tanner Stage 3 or higher) with steroid
resistance and persistent proteinuria (U Pr/Cr > 1.0) despite therapy is now
underway. Estimated GFR must be > 40 ml/min/1.73 M2. This study is sponsored by
FibroGen and involves defining the safety and pharmacokinetics of FG-3019, a
recombinant human antibody to CTGF.
This study is being conducted at three pediatric nephrology centers in New
