OSF Healthcare and the Children's Hospital of Illinois 

The Department of Pediatrics, University of Illinois college of Medicine at Peoria and Children's Hospital of Illinois, are seeking two pediatric nephrologists.

Professional components include in-patient rotation coverage and general nephrology clinical coverage.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Goryeb Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist to join one other Pediatric Nephrologist in a vibrant suburban practice setting. Children's Renal Center, Medical City Children's Hospital 

Medical City Children's Hospital (MCCH) is seeking an exceptional candidate as a full time/part time BC/BE pediatric nephrologist in Dallas, Texas.  MCCH is a tertiary care referral center for North Texas and has a busy general pediatric service staffed by hospitalists, a PICU, NICU, CVICU and a full complement of pediatric subspecialists on staff.  The nephrology program is well connected with the hospitalists, subspecialists and community physicians, all from whom many referrals and consultations arise.

The pediatric nephrology program provides medical care for general nephrology issues, acute and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, acute CVVH, as well as kidney transplantation.  MCCH is a 120 bed hospital with a new state of the art PICU, NICU, CVICU and a separate child-friendly emergency department facility.  MCCH has an active congenital heart surgery program, which partners with the nephrology program to provide renal replacement therapy when needed.  Closely integrated with MCCH is the Medical City Maternal Fetal program which provides obstetrical patients with fetal renal anomalies access to early prenatal pediatric nephrology consultation and early postnatal follow-up in the NICU.  Currently under construction is a free standing Medical City Children's Hospital, scheduled to open in May 2010.  Pediatric subspecialty services including pediatric nephrology will expand with the construction of the new hospital.

UCSD has an outstanding research environment and is leading the country in terms of extramural research grants per faculty. The University of New Mexico, Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a full-time faculty position in the division of Pediatric Nephrology.  The Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers complete clinical care services for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired renal disease.  Inpatient consultation is provided to PICU, NICU and general pediatric services.  A pediatric outpatient dialysis unit is on-site within the Children's Hospital of New Mexico.  Pediatric renal transplantations are performed as part of an active transplant program.  Outpatient service provides care at the Children's Hospital and outreach clinics throughout the state of New Mexico.  This individual will be required to teach, provide clinical care, conduct basic or clinical research, and possess strong interpersonal skills.  The position is designed for a candidate at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with a strong interest in basic or translational research.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center  

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is actively recruiting pediatric nephrologists to join our group of 6 clinicians, educators, and investigators. Members of the Division are currently funded in both clinical and basic science investigations. There are active clinical programs in general nephrology, dialysis, renal transplantation, hypertension and management of kidney stones. The successful applicant will be appointed to the faculty of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine at an academic rank appropriate to the candidate’s background and experience. The new faculty member may focus on clinical care, teaching or investigation depending on the interests and expertise of the candidate. Outstanding opportunities for collaboration and mentoring are available within the Division, Department, and the Institution. In particular the Department of Pediatrics has strong programs to enhance the clinical, teaching, and investigative skills of junior and mid-level faculty.

Oregon Health & Science University 

The Department of Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University is seeking 1 full-time academic Pediatric Nephrologist.  Doernbecher Children's Hospital at OHSU is the main teaching hospital in pediatric for the state of Oregon with a full complement of subspecialty services.  The successful candidate will become part of a group of four full-time Pediatric Nephrologists in providing care for OHSU's clinic and academic program.  OHSU and the Department of Pediatrics have established NIUH-sponsored CRSA and Child Health Research Center grants to help support junior and mid-career faculty.

The position is designed for the candidate at the Assistant Professor level with a strong interest in basic or translation research, and with the potential to pursue an academic research career.  This position is also available to a physician-scientist investigator at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an established record of independent investigation and extramural support.
